I think it’s ironic that the only person Montressor can go back to now, is the very person that he’s trying to run from. Will is the only person that cares.

And I can’t say I’m a fan of how it mirrors the empty path that forced victims back to their abusers.

Of course, fortunately Will isn’t like that. The current Will doesn’t even remember what happened.

But no one will hear Monty out but Will. Monty probably won’t tell him.

A prison of his own making. A prison formed by his cruel and callous selfishness. I wonder if we’re running out of redemption arcs for Montressor and he will die as he lived, like a broken dog.
