1. What other fandoms have you been in?
Bandom, Libertines fandom, X-Files and My So-Called Life.
2. Do you write fanfiction?
I do indeed. On livejournal and AO3 you can find me under sunfair.
3. What’s something you really love about your main fandom?
My main fandom these days is One Direction. I love that I've managed to find a cohort of like-minded fans who are all about fun and happiness and being cool and kind to one another while we lose our minds together over the five biggest idiots who have ever been allowed to become famous.
4. What are you looking forward to in 2013?
I am planning to return to England in June and I'm SUPER excited about that \o/ other things include continuing to work toward my fitness goals and to keep up this trend of writing because I'm enjoying it greatly.
5. What’s your ideal birthday celebration?
Honestly? I'm not super neurotic about birthdays. I like for my friends to make an effort for me even if it's a small one. It's not even about getting stuff/being lavished but more like, noticing me I guess.
6. What were you doing five years ago, and do you think you’ve changed a lot since then?
That would be January 2008 (whaaaat the hell, that JUST HAPPENED!!) and here is my journal entry from January 3, 2008:
as i walked to work yesterday simon & garfunkel's 'bridge over troubled water' came on my ipod. i rarely shuffle all songs on my ipod, because i have a lot of stuff on it that i don't necessarily choose to listen to all that often (i.e. jazz, etc.) and i find that most times, i end up having to skip-skip-skip to get to something i wanna hear.
i much prefer to make playlists.
anyway i was on michigan avenue heading north and i crossed washington, went past the cultural center, crossed randolph, and it was horribly cold but impossibly bright in the sun and as i looked at my feet and the remnants of the packed snow on the sidewalk i remembered being very small and hearing simon & garfunkel and not really knowing what they were trying to say in their songs but being incredibly endeared to them anyhow; like the importance came through independent of my understanding.
it was just one of those perfect soundtrack moments that reminded me how inexorably tied to music my entire existence is and how lost i would be without it.
today i stayed home sick in bed with peanut butter filled pretzels, pfeffernuesse, a fluffy kitten, and patrick on law & order about 84 times.
I think I'm healthier than I was then. I think I'm pretty much the same person, though.
7. What’s your favorite alcoholic beverage, or favorite food if you don’t drink?
I'm a whiskey/bourbon girl.
8. What’s your favorite type of story to read (AU, longfic, angsty things, etc.)?
Honestly I will read many things; I'm here for angst, for fluff, for canon or AU, for raging despair or cloying domesticity-- my only real caveat is that it has to be written well and my standards are kind of snobby. Nothing makes me close out of a fic faster than grammatical or spelling errors or phrasing that makes no sense. My suspension of disbelief takes some work, too... and I'm not talking about magical realism or otherworldly happenings in an AU setting, I'm talking about plot devices to move a narrative forward, I have to believe they'd actually be possible. I'll read fic that's not mature/nc-17 but let's be real, I definitely prefer to know EXACTLY where the dicks go, in glorious detail.
9. Are you in or interested in a romantic relationship right now, why or why not?
Is it weird that as I've gotten older I've basically given up on the notion of romantic love outside of fiction? It just hasn't ever worked out for me in that grand, sweeping long-term sense. I don't think I'm misanthropic, I think I just reject so completely the idea that someone NEEDS to have this sort of connection to another person in order to live a complete/whole/fulfilled life. If you've found romantic love, great, I hope you are happy. I really don't need it. Besides, I'm busy.
10. What’s your favorite book?
Watership Down by Richard Adams
11. Say something nice about the person whose post is first on your dash right now.
Erin is a delight and I am super grateful to count her amongst my friends.

1. If you could try one job for just 24 hours, what would it be?
Something where I get paid to drink coffee and play on the internet.
2. Any new year’s resolutions?
Not really. I'd like to keep doing what I'm doing with my fitness and writing stuff and make it to England in June.
3. An extreme sport you’d try if given the opportunity?
The most extreme sport I engaged in on the regular in 2012 was skeeball. So, no.
4. What’s your favorite dessert?
Anything that combines chocolate with something spicy like ginger and also alcohol.
5. If you could abolish one fashion trend forever, what would it be?
I don't really get super upset about fashion, so. If I don't like a thing I don't choose it for myself. That said, cultural appropriation is awful and people, mainly white people, should cut that shit out.
6. What’s one of your favorite fannish memories?
There are far too many to mention. There was the time a certain member of a certain British rock band ended up at my house, eating candy necklaces off me. I guess that's probably up there.
7. What’s some advice you’d give your 16 year old self?
I answered this before, right? I seem to remember doing that. Anyway it'd be twofold: be bolder and be kinder.
8. Can you describe the last dream you had?
Last night I had a dream that I was a contestant on project runway. No idea how I landed that since I can't sew AT ALL, but I had this grand plan to re-create this wrap dress I had which had a hood/collar thing?? I don't know, the dress was rad, but there's no way in hell I would have been able to make one.
9. When you’re down in the dumps, what’s your cheer-up jam?
MIA - Paper Planes
10. If you could have lunch with a dead person, who would it be?
My grandmother.
11. What’s the last text message in your inbox say?
"<33333 i’m grateful you’re my friend too. ily"
And finally: 11 questions from me!
1. Are there any social issues you're passionate about? What are they and why?
2. Do you have any regrets from 2012? What are they?
3. What book are you currently reading -or- did you read last?
4. What's your favorite creative outlet?
5. What's the last film you watched and what are your thoughts on it?
6. If you could do anything with the absolute guarantee that you would not fail, what would you do first?
7. If you were given the choice to re-live your childhood and to grow up in a completely different place (with all of your same family, just a geographical change of venue) would you do it? Where would you pick and why, and how different do you think your life would be now?
8. Would you rather get a free ride to culinary school or a free personal chef for the rest of your life?
9. What's the last thing you purchased for yourself?
1) pairing: Harry/Louis 2) AU setting: football locker room (from nevernottogether)
Louis curls his fingers in Harry's hair, fucking into his throat, breathing labored. "Your mouth, Haz." Harry moans around him, letting his eyes fall shut as tears prick at them. Louis tugs at his hair, pulling Harry off of him taking his cock into his hand, stroking fast. He groans as he comes, painting Harry's face.
Harry licks and sucks on his lips, greedy for it, smiling up at Louis. "Thanks," he says, voice rough. Louis laughs, leaning back into the lockers.
