“Better hunt me than destroy you on the way to me.” Oura said softly, when he pulled away so abruptly, he didn’t really want to. At least, she hoped he was trying to not pull away from her touch. Olive green eyes staring into his gaze, searching it, then withdrawing her hand. Her fingers curling into her palm.
Then she looked down and bit her lip. Saying goodbye was hard enough, but she was keeping him safe. This was the right thing to do. It had to be the right thing to do.
“And if he hunts me, I will destroy everything around me to keep him away. Him, planets, people.” For the first time in a very long time, there was a great deal of discomfort in the way she held herself. “I don’t want to destroy you, Loki.”
She wanted to hold his face between her hands, but she couldn’t bring her stare up from the ground. It was too cloudy and foggy, her eyes were stinging.
