is the blog of a coxswain two rowers from California (one from San Francisco) who compete for both high school and club.
A response to several of the asks we've been getting:
This blog is what you guys make it. Yes, I can give you advice and format your submissions but this blog isn't for me, it's for you all. If you want to 'spice it up', submit a post.
-Lauren
Yeah, guys, Lauren is currently the only admin and she's got plenty of other stuff to do. I find it extremely rude to see hateful messages about the quality of the blog. If you think we need more submissions, then by all means, submit.
-Lily
Guys, I'd really appreciate it if you took the time to format your submissions correctly.
I'm usually only on here to edit/approve submissions and it would be a lot easier if you could do them right. Thanks!
-Lily
I'd like to welcome the newest addition to the neverweighnuff family.
Lauren. She's been rowing for a while and is also the co-admin of power10forbuster. I have the utmost faith that she can keep up with this insane blog. Welcome her, rowers/coxswains!
-Lily
...you laugh at something from this site and your non-rower friends don't understand why.
Hello everyone.
If you don't follow me personally, I've just put up a post about how I'm leaving the rowing community on Tumblr. Clearly, this means I will have to leave neverweighnuff.
Now, this blog has become so much more than what I initially intended. It's become something like a hub for all rowers and coxswains on Tumblr, to connect and get/give advice and stories. It's a place where everyone can relate to each other.
I would hate to be the reason for its shutdown, so I'm offering you, my lovely followers, a chance to keep it alive. If any of you have any desire to run this blog, please send me a message (non-anon, of course) telling me why you think you'd be capable of running it. I'd also like a few sample posts, just to see your style of posting. (Sorry, but I'm eternally picky.) If I choose you, I will inform you via askbox, and ask for your e-mail address as an outside point of contact.
Thank you so much for everything, guys. You have no idea how much this experience has meant to me. I've felt like the luckiest girl in the world, having the privilege of running this blog, and meeting all you amazing people. You are all so wonderful and I am deeply sorry that this had to happen. Thank you, and row hard.
