well i mean i was thinking about this post that was making fun of sam cause he was all “ooh one more step and this will be the furthest i’ve been from home” or whatever and then haha funny sam’s such a loser cause merry and pippin literally bump into him and frodo whilst running amok in farmer maggot’s farm

but like merry and pippin are both upper class hobbits, neither of them have jobs. sam on the other hand is a working class hobbit from a family of gardeners, he doesn’t have the free time that merry and pippin have, he can’t go out and about playing cause he works (it’s not an age thing either, sam is only 2 years older than merry, and 12 years younger than frodo, who is arguably also upper class as his mother was a brandybuck but i digress) 

and post war of the rings in the fourth age this is further sort of looked at in a round about way as merry becomes the master of buckland (head of the brandybuck family and official of the shire), and pippin becomes the thain (military leader), both inherited titles. sam on the other hand becomes the mayor of the shire, an elected position, the highest position that he could get as a working class hobbit (he was elected 7 times too!!! what a mayor)

Oh, gosh ;;

Yes and no? For me, yes, I think. I’m one of those people who falls in love easily and often, but it usually doesn’t work out. But I don’t know if two people can fall in love immediately and simultaneously. If they can, they’re incredibly lucky.
