just listened to the newest album by ghost, skeleta. for how much hype surrounds that band i thought it was... very thoroughly generic. like all the songs were good and they sounded cool but it was vaguely nothing overall. i'm going to try going back to their earlier music (opus eponymous at the least, maybe some other albums) to see if they're anything more. i do enjoy their sound but it just feels like it's not special at all to me. their stage theatricals are pretty interesting though, i was reading through their wiki while i listened. haven't actually seen any of it other than pictures but i can respect the grind

omg omg i forgot to update. i listened to guts all the way through a few days ago!!!! i'm a big fan of the general vibe and most of the songs. a few were too slow/boring for me but i really like a lot of them. uhhh the poprockiness of it is a huge reason why i like it. idk if that's the right genre i'm really bad at genres!! but yeah :]

listening to blanket by kevin abstract for the first time! i've heard some of the songs outside of the full album before (shout out what should i do) but i haven't listened to the full thing so. yayy

so far i really like the intro song (when the rope post 2 break) and the second titular song is real silly. hell yeah

also. i'm on a listening kick rn or whatever. so listening to danger days for the first time ever rn. gonna be honest this does not live up to the hype.. maybe i'm just in a mood but it's like. fine? this is not making me feel things i'm so sorry <- probably important to note i'm only on the sixth song at the moment

maybe i'm just not into the older style of this genre man. fuck if i know.... gonna be sad to report back to my friend later that i still have not found any of their songs that i like very much
