A gal in intense makeup skips down the street, listening to some loud, punk music on her headphones. The band? Virulent Spark. She’s known one of the members her entire life, it seemed, Elle. Well, Liberty. She goes by ‘Spikes’ to the punks of Spikemuth, though Elle is what her friends call her. Nobody calls her Liberty. Not without ‘Spikes’ directly after it. 

The woman was another member of Team Yell, though she’d been to jail far more than she aught. She envied Elle who would go out and enjoy freedom. That’s what punk symbolised to her. 

A beep resonated in the cold, Spikemuth air as she felt her back pocket vibrate. There was a message waiting for her--from Elle. A smile tugged at her black lips. She clicked on the open.

                              [Hey, wanna chat, m8?]

The message meant Elle was in town. 

                              [Sure fing, L. Cuppa tea?]

Another ping echoed over the brick walls that seemed to close in on two sides most days. The affirmation. The chuckle that followed. She was going to see her best friend.
