After entering your payment details and being directed to select your download, you will be given a choice between downloading the audiobook as one large, 14-hour file or downloading the zip folder that has all the chapters separated into individual MP3s. Both are 1.1GB, so don't do it while you're on data like I did.

Whichever option you choose is up to you, and if you later decide you want to download the other, great! You can do that too. Both zip files are yours to keep DRM-free from now until eternity.

If you previously bought the audiobook through my Payhip and would like to access the new, single file, you should be able to log in with your Payhip account and access the latest download link.

Yeah. It’s been kinda of a lazy day for me. Still a little spooked by whatever that message was if I’m being honest.

Hey everyone it’s Maiden here.  

This last month was an interesting months for content for me; I tried a few new things and I think ultimately as an artist I’ve got to take risks.  This month, I’ll be returning to full-time day work.

But the Maiden train doesn’t stop.  Within March, I’ll be planning on releasing lots of lore stories for the Tumblr, and the upcoming website.The first track I made last month, the advertisement for Maiden Industries, will be adapted into a crazy video from our beloved Mousey aka Squeex.

I want to have guest writers volunteer and write some crazy maidenverse stuff with me.   If this is something that Sparks your interest please Message me on Patreon or Discord.   Alternatively you can message Mousey also.  

So last month I released Vantrin, and invited a new hooligan into the bunch.. he’s a rowdy bloke but I think he’s a fit.  

Module 3 was awesome.. I feel we got to see a interesting side of Maiden to say the least… Haha.

And for this March…

Tomorrow marks a month since you and i got a lot closer and a lot farther apart. it's marks a month to the day of my 2012 ya know where the world ended. "the world is never gonna be the same", ever. not even just after this but even after every minute passes. from not wanting to believe it's real and it feeling not real and back and fourth as you would left, right, left, right -walking walking walking down the st walking down the st🎶 *song plays if you were still here there wouldn't be moments like this. these moments wouldn't be happening but i guess they have to happen and i guess i already knew and couple other things like i don't know everything. parents dont like letting teenagers think they know at least that. it's usually more of an argument for some reason. probably bc of things they want to know some answers themselves and don't. and maybe for some answer they know that they don't wanna know. yeah those aren't always pretty either. in reality not much changes when someone leaves. it's the little things you notice and miss. the things you had thought would always be there or thought you had to deal with forever. and later you find the ones you missed the most are the ones you never expected to be gone. especially not so soon because you thought they'd always be there

Patlabor, and Patlabor: The New Files. This tv series and OVA are a separate continuity from the Patlabor movies and the other OVA series. This one is much more light-hearted, with most episodes being self-contained, until a really neat story starts to connect some incidents. The OVAs are part of this timeline and have events that occur between many of the episodes, some of which were not able to be on TV. The bulk of these OVAs serve as a finale for the larger story arc in the series.

Like the rest of the series, this TV series focuses on the exploits of Tokyo's Special Vehicles 2 Section 2, a police unit who specialize in crimes using the pilotable robots called Labors. Utilizing several top-of-the-line Labors called Ingrams, SV2 and its team try their best to maintain peace and order in a  time where a tool for construction can lead to mass destruction. Partway through these antics, a looming threat lingers in the air, building up to a confrontation with a highly advanced Labor built for war.

The animation is a bit of a step down from the original OVAs, and definitely from the movies. It's a budget TV series, but the Labor battles are usually entertaining. The characters are spot-on from the OVAs, and even the anime-only Takeo Kumagami is a fun character. The Japanese voice actors are good, and usually the English ones are spot-on. The music is rather catchy throughout the show. The only flaw I feel this show has are the episodes after the Griffin arc, and this goes for the OVAs too. Had the series ended there, it would have been great, but the slice-of-life episodes that follow it do not lead up to a bit of an interesting conclusion for the TV series, but the New Files end with a very somber conclusion. The one good thing about the second half of those OVAs is giving us the somewhat famous image of the anime Spanish Inquisition, the one with a guy holding a brush and a duck, and other one wearing a winged baseball cap, parodying the Monty Python skit. Yeah, it's from Patlabor.

Due to the unfortunate decline in the story at the end, this series gets a 6/10. Otherwise it would have been an easy 7. It's enjoyable, still, but the series is best watched in short bursts, with the Griffin arc being done all at once for maximum enjoyment.

Maiden Japan released the series across 4 volumes, and the New Files OVA in one set on DVD and on Blu-Ray. The video quality is pretty solid, as is the case with all their/Sentai's releases so far on BD.
