GOAWH As I was watching Zombieland Saga freaking Koutarou’s voice kept fucking reminding me of someone. AND I GOT IT. THE VOICE ACTOR IS THE SAME VOICE ACTOR FOR TSUKIYAMA SHUU LMAOOO no wonder every time he screamed at the girls his damn voice was familiar lmao.

The latest trailer for Initial D Arcade Stage Zero, which is based on the upcoming movie New Initial D. The new entry features a retelling of early chapters from the Initial D manga.

tl;dr I watched it for the voice actors. Takahashi Ryosuke is awesome.
So I originally wanted to watch it after work, but near my workplace the schedule goes like this:
11:30, 12:35, 16:30, 20:25
I wouldn't make it for it 16:30 and I didn't want to watch the 20:25. So then I watched it on December 25th at another theater at 12:35. I originally wanted to watch it at 10:30... But I got late...
What is Initial D? I think it's not quite an obscure anime... It started from a manga that runs from 1995-2013 compiling 48 volumes. It has 6 anime series I guess and some OVAs. I remembered watching it some time ago in my local television, and lament its quirky character design. It has some awesome cars though.
Why would I want to watch the movie, then?

My favorite voice actors are playing! *fangirling well, just Google their names if you want to see their roles... I can't find Suwabe's voice though... Is he really in there? (the Awakening movie)
Ahem, enough gushing. The first movie chronicles Fujiwara Takumi's "Awakening" as a street racer. We first see his awesomeness using a Toyota Trueno AE86 to race with Mazda RX-7 in early morning. Losing a downward slope, the RX-7's owner, Takahashi Keisuke, is reasonably pissed off, and he went to search for the "Ghost of Akina".
To do so, he asked the assistance of his brother, Takahashi Ryosuke to arrange a race meet (? okay Idk the right term) for their team, Akagi Red Suns, with the Akina Speed Stars, hoping to meet the "Ghost". In their first race meet, the leader of the team, Iketani Koichiro got injured because of his recklessness, and they had to find a substitute for him. Iketani then searched for the "Ghost" who turned out to be one of his juniors at his part-time work, Fujiwara Takumi.
Takumi was reluctant to participate at the match at first, only agreeing because he needed to use the car to for going to a beach with a girl... Is it just me or am I the only one who finds it aggravating that Mr. Fujiwara (Takumi's father) didn't just tell Iketani it's Takumi who beat the RX-7 from the start? Well it got Iketani to be his regular customer lol
The character designs still look bad, but it's a lot better than the original anime... but I was there for the voice. And I got hooked by the awesome drift action. It's a great movie, shame that it was so short (72 minutes+about 11 minutes extra content). I look forward to the continuation of this movie, Legend 2: Racer!
