HEY GUYS WANNA SEE MY NEW OCS I JUST MADE!!! (Even tho I already have a billion other OCs with intricate stories that need fleshing out)!!!
so basically the concept is: magically girls that represent different cultures/countries/continents.
I got this idea because I’ve been watching/consuming more magical girl media recently and I thought about turning my main OCs into magical girls (and boys and enbies), they represent a variety of cultures and that’s some what important to their characters so I HAD to include that in those magical designs. And then it hit me, what if I made magical girls that represent each continent through a specific country!
so our main characters here are Sakura/japan, momo/georgia(the USA), and Lilly/france. (I have more concepts for characters but it was a bit much for me to research and design more than 3 characters rn). WORLD BUILDING! The magical girls in this world are military assets created through years of experiments and failures until some one final figured out how to make them, (I’m going to try to explain my not fully fleshed out idea and I hope you understand) basically they use a fruit closely connected to the country in which this magical girl will come from and the magical girl vessel must also have a strong connection to the country of origin (meaning they must have 5 centuries of ancestry in this country and an innate spiritual connection to the land). Japan (because it is the origin of magical girls, or at least popularized it) was the first to do these experiments and make a magical girl, the U.N. (I might call it something different idk) catches wind of this and tells Japan it must either dispose of all its research and assets or hand them over to be used internationally. Japan decides to let the U.N. take the research so long as the have most of the control over their new weapon. The U.N. agrees and France and the U.S.A are the first to create their own magical girls after Japan, thus our trio is formed. (This trio may symbolize a alliance between these three countries, I haven’t decided). Russia probably has their own magical girls, but I was just making them one for each continent at first. originally Japan was trying to use blood as the base instead of fruits but their first semi stable magical girl ended up dying shortly after (also she was sakura’s best friend soooo… hehe angst)
at first this was just going to be pretty light hearted but apparently I’m allergic to light hearted episodic stories and I had to make it a tragic story about exploitation and government corruption… idk how I’m ever gonna make any of these ideas real if I don’t make one a little easier to write :( oh well Ill figure it out
