I won the cape summer trail series. I did the hardest thing I have ever done on monday - 100 drop-jumps followed by a maximum 20k treadmill time trial and nothing about me has recovered. my legs are like wood. I've been on a new diet for almost 2 weeks. I became an Afrikaans tutor and am happy and am intermittently consumed with terror. Everything is running, racing, tutoring, planning, meal planning, writing my dreams down and tidying my room first thing in the morning, driving, tight sore legs, hot days, random youtube videos, worrying about being a negligent friend, having naps, swimming laps in the pool. I miss writing on here, and plan to write more. My new favorite quotes are by the author Ursula Le Guin: "And day to day, life's a hard job, you get tired, you lose the pattern. You need distance, interval. The way to see how beautiful the earth is, is to see it as the moon. The way to see how beautiful life is, is front the vantage point of death."
