Mercy's one month check up was good. They said her weight is still below average for her age, she's 8lbs now, and that she only grew an inch. It looks and feels like she grew a few inches rather than one, so I'm re-measuring her when I find my tape measure. She got a couple shots despite my anti-vax co-captain's grumblings. I never want to hear her scream/cry like that again but I know I will.
Mercy's starting to actually see things and make eye contact. She recognizes what her bottle and binky look like, as well as my tots. I'm excited to show her Christmas lights.
She's had these wide eyed expressions of awe and wonder this last week and it's been melting everyone's hearts. She has everyone wrapped around her tiny digits, even strangers at the doctor's office. I think that's just baby power, but everywhere we go she gets complimented on how cute/beautiful she is or people just gasp, and I feel like that's not normal. It's a constant thing.
