1950 Newcomb H-50 PA Amp

This was one of Newcomb’s most powerful PA amps back in the day, with Dual rectified 6L6s for 50 watts and they didn’t skimp on transformers. Switchable between 4, 8 or 16 watts with the rear jumper. Input cable will be supplied. I have multiple cabinets for use with this: Silvertone 2X12, 6X10, 1X15, Fender 2X12, 2X15,  Friedman 2X12 (Celestions), Teisco 1X15.

From the Newcomb family portions of our Anne Watts Baker Papers: a letter that is virtually impossible to read in this image. But what’s interesting is that the parts that are water stained have made the rapidly-fading ink more legible. The peculiarities of paper and ink could, and often do, make up entire college courses.
