I'm very thankful for having the opportunity to drive/photograph a lot of cool cars, but an early silver 996 C2 on 18-inch twists is still a top dream car. Talk about an icon of the late '90s/early '00s.

Now that they've mostly reopened Angeles Crest, took the bike up to Newcomb's Ranch. There's parts left closed and I had to do the long way and took a few wrong paths, and it's cold and unpleasant coming down from a lonely 5000ft mountain through clouds in the dark. Otherside the view was amazing, among the many components of this:

• chasing the twilight from valley to valley as the sun set over the ridges.

• Mount Wilson as clouds pass over the road saddle and below in the valleys, temporarily interrupting from view the GIANT UNEARTHLY UNCANNY ANTENNA FARM that broadcasts everything that gets broadcast.
