That’s one of those reasons why I wouldn’t let that friend borrow stuff.
He won't ever be borrowing my Poke'mon games again. Hell, I'll probably have him return the games that he has borrowed from me, I'll give him back any of his games that I have, and that will be the end of it. I'm usually fine with my other games being reset, especially if I've beaten them, but Poke'mon is one of those games where if you get attached to your Poke'mon, it's hard to reset. Also, I don't want to have to fucking RESTART! I was at one of the most infuriating points in the game, and I don't want to have to repeat it.

wow, rude. why would anyone think that was okay? Or like, at least double check if meant he wanted to restart it. (reminds me of when I lent my friend my japanese textbooks and he sold them back at the end of the quarter…)
He thought I said it was okay! I don't know how! I'm very protective of my Poke'mon, and he knows that! ESPECIALLY GEN 2! That's my favorite generation! I snapped at him, telling him I said it was OK for him to get to Ho-Oh and that was it! I even mentioned I was at the fighting gym that I hate, so if he wanted to beat it for me, I'd be fine with that. But no. Apparently that meant for him to reset the game.
