NEW OBEY ME EVENT + Rant/debate
When it comes to events I always feel so conflicted with feeling sorry for the workers and being disappointed/fed up. I know we gotta blame only the big guys in the bussiness as they run the company so please don't read this as me discrediting the amazing artists and game Devs. Don't get me wrong, us as a community and consumer can be at fault aswell.
This newest event I was excited for; after the disappointment with the dames event and the fan bases disgusting behaviour towards it. (The event didn't even start and the type of people that were showing up on my suggested was just 🤢)
I never got to play the original bunny event so I really wanted to see what was happening. But as I went through the story I just felt myself get disappointed, I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep going.
There was a lack of romance options, the 'lessons' were too short - they could of just put two of them together and it would of made an average one you'd normally get. It just felt like un-needed padding because the story itself was fairly short. We don't need to see all three days of them doing the same thing - it's a job. Unless something spectacular is happening a job is just a continuous cycle of routine. Nothing really changes.
It was decent. I loved the outfits and I laughed a few times. But other than that it wasn't really much. It felt lazy- I don't like using lazy as I know how hard it is to program a game - but it definitely didn't feel rushed. It just felt lacking. And it just keeps showing us they can make events with new outfits but I'm getting worried. Doing a bunny event remix is fun for players like me but I'm concerned they're running out of ideas.
But as much I'm disappointed with the people who made it; we gotta show some appreciation. They make this for US and just try to give us as much as they can so we can be engaged and see loads of content of our favourite characters. To give us something to do whilst actual main story is being worked on for both normal and hard mode.
I blame events of both the higher ups and competitive players like Rory (who was know to be in top spot on all events but recently got booted off to 4th place due to Japanese players) and other top tier players.
People like Rory and other accounts aiming for top spot are the ones giving them money - the people who aim for the best in events are most likely their riches audience members.
The company gets a win off players like that because that's where they make their profit so of course they'll do loads of events (I believe that the company itself does these things not because of Ill intent but at the end of the day - they have to make money and pay their workers)
Because it's fun for us, gives us content and gets them paid. But due to poor time management and the non rich/non paying players are the ones being pushed back and feel left out we tend to get so angry. It's both a side of the community and the company but atleast the company has a bussiness and excuse.
Meanwhile the players who make this all a big race - what do you gain? No one wants to feel left out and we all want the cute cards and outfits but if we truely feel so upset about these poorly management events; why not do something?
Why not take a strike from events, find players you know who pay and tell them to stop. Make your demands heard and clear.
But then there's still the issue of not wanting to cause harm to the workers and the bills they have to pay especially in times like these.
It's all quite troubling; If you've made it this far thanks for listening and what are your thoughts? Do you think it's the communitys fault? The company? Both? Or do you think it's something else?
Thoughts of this current event or events in general?
