We have seen everything from length, pleats, cuts, fringe and tiering in skirts, but the car wash skirt has a little something special about it that divides it from all the other skirt styles. Perhaps the new fringe? The skirt gives off a fringe like feel though the actual “strips” are more thicker and show less leg. We have seen this trend on Oscar de la Renta’s Fall 2015 collection taking the little black dress to the next level. Dior made a comeback in their Fall collection by vamping up the skirt trend by using the classic tweed midi skirt. At a more “affordable” price, J Crew’s Winter 2015 collection says it all using both fringe and car wash creating beautiful maxi and midi skirts. As this trend is just starting to hit the runways we will have to wait some months before the trend will come to stores like Artizia perhaps, or online stores like ASOS or Nasty Gal. We will just have to wait and see!
