Why does breaking and entering have to be so frowned upon? Why can’t he just steal as he please? It’s not like he’s killing someone, geez. Though, when the duck entered the room it sounded like someone was being killed.

Nightmare like, literally screamed like he was being murdered, threw the couch he’d pocketed at Marshal, tried to get out a window but couldn’t because the windows here don’t open, then he floated up to the farthest ceiling corner away from the duck.

He was about to throw more things. Maybe even Marshal himself if that duck took so much as one step inside the house or towards him.

“What’s WITH this place!? There’s no WAY this is on the map! Who even ARE you people!?”

“And you had better tell me the truth, too! I REALLY don’t know this place! It’s like I just woke up and was here, and I want answers NOW.”

"Hey!" Molly yells, a slightly angry expression on her face as she lands on the ground, finally arriving at her destination. She quickly began to approach Nightmare "I heard that you were stealing people, quackidee! That's not okay! How would /YOU/ like it if you were stolen?" This is probably the most... 'Aggressive' she could be. "These people have friends, perhaps even families, yet you want to steal them?! Don't you know any better?" She quacks, loudly. "Release them. Now."

When he’d first heard her, he turned around grinning, expecting some regular person. But no, that’s not what he received. His smile was wiped off as soon as he had time to comprehend what exactly was coming for him, replaced with an open mouth of silent horror.

Nightmare backs up appropriately upon Molly’s approach, his cape opening completely so he could use both hands to defend himself from this duck. But he knew he couldn’t bare to touch the thing, he could hardly bring himself to do anything other than back off.

“Not here,” he whimpered to himself, “n-not infront of all these people..!”

With her quack he literally has to stay a scream, and does a pretty good job at it too. Honestly, anything and everything she says is lost on him because of how scared he is.

Nightmare floated over the tables where he kept his orbs, and when Molly passed that and still pursued him, he pressed himself against a wall, forgetting the power he’d found out about more recently and staying there.

“I-I just want attention, I didn’t even hurt them! M.. Most of them!” Nightmare explained, trying to force an incredibly shaken smile onto his paling face, “There’s- L-Lets settle this like normal r-reasonable people, there’s no.. N-No need to be so loud about this!”

Noise from his one explicit fear terrified more than anything. One could hear that in his forced laugh and withdrawn posture that he was literally scared shitless of this duck, despite being eight feet taller than it.

“W-What.. What can I do to get you to leave?”

He’s like, centimeters away from screaming.

"You know, mister--" Molly begins to waddle up to eNeMeE. Oh god. How did she get here. "Hurting people isn't nice!!! What do you gain from it, quackidee?"

After his uh.. Whole thing that happened a little bit ago, he’d decided to just lay low entirely. Which meant he was back in the place he’d cast nightmares from. The hiding place was on this strange cliffside, covered in nice, large trees. He figured he was deep enough in the ‘forest’ of sorts to never risk being found. 

He apparently was not smart enough to realize that there was a little strange trailer park place nearby, and he’d only just hidden ten or so meters from it. Apparently even for the ‘Lord of Darkness’, he couldn’t pick out his spots very well in the dark.

He’d messed up his sleep schedule. He couldn’t find anything interesting in sleep, so he couldn’t stay in it for very long, ending up waking up a lot before going back to sleep. 

It was still daylight out when he’d woken up again, and really, he was right about to doze off again from how absolutely boring nature around here was. Stars, nature was just disgusting and dull. Mostly disgusting.

He was still dozing, trying to will himself to go back to bed. Perhaps it would work better if he wasn’t basically just sitting against a tree. He should probably lay down or something.. His attempt was cut short, however, by someone finding him.

He had incredibly bad memory, but he didn’t forget voices or interactions that quickly. So while he lagged for a moment, processing the words from the.. Guest.. He gave more than a reaction.

The guy basically flings himself away from the duck, going and smashing himself into a distant tree whilst doing so. There’s a loud ‘CLACK’ as the back of his head connects with the wood, which he immediately goes to nurse with one of his floating steel talons. He slides down the bark, back down to where he previously was before he was found.

“Ghh..”

He offers no response to the question because he’s scared rude.

Cherry digs into her inventory and tries to throw a bunch of bugs that she has caught at her kidnapper. When that doesn't really work, she tries to chuck an entire table at him. Villager inventories, like their mayors, were very large. And this dog was not happy.

The bugs just sorta scattered then went invisible after a few seconds (weird, why did that happen). Meanwhile, the table cracked right in half after making contact with Nightmare’s face. The two split pieces hit the ground, and Nightmare was amused, though he tried to sound as monotone as possible for the funny thing he was gonna say.

“Dude. Stop.”

He expected more stuff to fly at his face, and he’s just smiling about it.

"BARK! BARKBARKBARKBORKBARK!!!" Cherry barks like the dog she was, snarling through bared teeth as her paws scratch against the restraints she's in. "Once the mayor finds out that you've done this, you're going to be in so much trouble, what what!" Then, she continues to angrily bark at him.

“Man, you’re real inconsiderate to the other people here. It’s late and they’re trying to sleep, meanwhile you’re barking up a storm.”

Nightmare’s got her some typical dog stuff. Typical dog restraints ontop of ‘humanoid’ ones. 

“I’m not the sort who sleeps, so it’s not much of my problem moreso as it is everyone else’s now, so I’m not going to muzzle you or anything. Like, scream, bark, yodel, whatever, no one outside’s going to hear you here.”

Very not ominous at all. Thanks.

"Mr Scary man!" MOLLY. "Did you get the present I sent y... Why are you tiny."

On his search to find a planet of people that were capable of being strangled, he revisited this particular one, because he had a faint feeling that his answer would lie there. Nightmare either forgot about the duck, thought the duck was on another planet, or both.

He is unpleasantly surprised when the duck somehow managed to (what he assumed) teleport behind him and startle him. The nickname, he likes. ‘Mr Scary Man’. Very good name.

However, as he slowly turns his head to see the person who said it, the guy went pale and stiff. Like, wow, there has never been a more horrified looking expression on his face than that one right there.

Ducks.. Terrifying things. Truly scary.

Ducks that towered over him by over twice his size..?

Nightmare opens his mouth and there’s this tiny, drawn out scream that sounds like someone running their nails lightly on a chalkboard. Then he violently shivers and collapses, out cold before he even hit the ground.

Big ducks.. They instilled fear in him to the point where he’d fainted from it.
