Even though she wasn’t out in the open like Alan was for the the majority of their time there, it did change her sleeping pattern significantly. Where once she’d fall asleep quickly, she now hears every single thing in the house, so it takes her awhile to even get to bed. She also became a very light sleeper, waking up every hour or so due to just your basic noises you’d hear at night. For a short period after they got back from the Island, Ellie couldn’t share a bed, Alan would brush up against her and she’d jolt awake thinking a dinosaur was after her. She won’t sleep with a lot of blankets on her, while they were married Mark never understood why but she felt like they would get in her way if she had to escape. Nightmares she still has from time to time, but nothing compared to when they first came home.
