Thrifted: doll furniture by NewRay.
I found the rocking chair first but never got around to taking photos, then the rest turned up a few weeks ago so I figured now’s the time. At first I thought they were vintage since they look pretty old-fashioned and carefully designed (the curved backs, for example) but they actually belong to a recent line called My Best Friend (see https://newrayusa.com/my-best-friend/). These are pieces from at least two sets (my armchair is blue instead of the red from the promo pics).
Presumably the “best friend” of the title is not in fact the TV but the dogs that come with the sets. I get the impression that someone bought two sets, kept the dogs and dog accessories and dumped the furniture, which is hilarious to me since it’s the exact opposite of what I would have done. Or more likely the thrift store sorting staff just put them in different bags.
It would be awesome if these were 1/6 scale, but they’re a lot smaller, more like 1/8 I’d say. Licca can just about fit her Pure Neemo S butt (not pictured) in the rocking chair. The scale sort of works with MH, if you feel like plopping your futuristic monster princess dolls down in an outdated farmhouse setting. (Question: how can Skelita see the TV screen from that angle? The answer is it doesn’t matter since she’s not wearing her glasses anyway.)
I don’t really need another doll TV, but I kind of love this one in its old-fashioned stand/cabinet/entertainment center thing. Also I’d love to have that fireplace that comes in one of the sets. (One can never have too many miniature fireplaces.)
