After a weekend filled with crazy work, and no sleep, I slept over my alarm today. This upset to me to no end. I felt like I let me crew down, and even though my news team can hold their own, I didn't want to be an inconvenience. In the end, my body clock woke up in enough time to make over just about half the shift, and my peers were patient and understanding. I didn't miss Music Monday, and our guests, the busiest I am all week at 69 News. I've been burning the candle at both ends lately. Why do I write all this? To motivate myself to do better. To get to bed sooner. Eat better. And to pass on that drive to any one of you out there as well, who are working hard. To those of you who feel like your best isn't good enough. Or that you will never catch a break. You will. Keep pushing. Your break is coming. Your team is coming. Your purpose isn't far away. Reach for a dream, and take a hold of it. Be bold. Be courageous. And give everything your all. Even if you fail at first, or now and again. Success doesn't care if you're tired. Success only cares about how bad you want it. 💯 Also posting bc #NewShirtDay & baby blue brings out these award winning eyes. 😂👀
