You get paid on Friday, kick it on the weekend, pay on your past due bills, and on Monday, you’re broke. 💰 And I was making over $60,000 - $70,000 a MONTH! The problem was, however, my business and personal bills were $80,000, or maybe more – I didn’t really know because I had been making hundreds of thousands of dollars annually for years and my solution for not having ENOUGH money was to work harder and longer to make MORE money. I thought budgets were for poor people! Sad . . . but true. 💰 I was destitute, down and out, and broken. Every person I had helped, every person I had given money to, every person I had “saved” financially when I was doing well had turned their backs on me, including some of my relatives. The worst part was I felt like a big hypocrite, and I was -- teaching everybody else about wealth, even wrote a book about it, and there I was, totally jacked up. I had no more money and therefore, nothing to hide behind. I convinced myself that I had a good heart and that my “giving” to others was evidence of my Christianity. But I know now that I was really feeding my own pride. I was reinforcing my ability to control others; moreover, I was enabling others to be co-dependent on me and then I had the nerve to get an attitude about the co-dependency I had helped create. 💰 When I had no more money and could no longer fake it -- I finally realized I had no one left but God. 💰 But I had to do the work. And so do you. I have paved the way. . .
