We renewed our lease today! I can't believe we've been here a year already. I remember when we first moved to NYC we only signed a year lease cause we didn't know how we'd like it or if we'd even make it a year working on Haute Hijab full-time with no "real" job to fall back on for both myself and Ahmed. (Let's keep it real I think our families are still a little worried, lol) To be honest at this point in my life I thought I'd have a house and kids by now (with a pink door like this beauty I died over in London) but if there's one thing I've been tested with over and over in the past year, it's tawakkul - trust in God that I'm exactly where I need to be. There's always something to yearn for and wish we had, but the key is to be thankful for the amazing bounties and blessing we do have. Like this incredible apartment in the greatest city on earth building something amazing with the best husband a girl could ask for 💕 What's left to yearn for when God gives in such abundance? #GodisGood #NewYorkersForAnotherYear #IncrediblyBlessed #🙏🏼 (at Notting Hill)
