I am redesigning my Nexilus again!
I am always constantly researching designs in the market, and I am always wanting to improve on my signature design. In this iteration, I wanted to incorporate different surface modeling techniques into the redesign, so I can make lines less apparent.
Mystique
More and more Nexilus renderings!
Do you want one? I still feel so stunned about this simple design exuding all sorts of emotions.
I’ve been playing around with parameters in the fluid simulation package for Solidworks, and it seems that adding roughness to the floor makes the simulation that much more realistic. According to Wikipedia’s entry on surface roughness, proper roads have a 1mm mean profile depth roughness. Inputting this parameter in the fluid simulation and the floor movement parameter, the vehicle drag coefficient is 0.31. I am incredibly satisfied with this, and the next steps would be adding wheel rotation.
