hello! my name is megan and i am new to the appblr community. i’ve been on tumblr for a few years, but now that i am an upcoming senior (go class of 2018!), i’ve decided to transition my blog to become a more education-based platform. i will still be including all of my flower pictures and interiors, but with the added addition of college advice, ap problems, and over-achiever-related stress.

now seems as good a time as any to tell you a bit about myself, so here i go! i am 17 years old and i have an addiction to all things harry potter. i have a beautiful dog named buddha, even though i am a self-proclaimed cat person. i also tend to make to-do lists and never act on them (ahhh procrastination!).

academically, i am doing the best i can. i took four ap tests last year: english language and comp, u.s. history, spanish language, and biology. i’ve taken the act a total of three times with another attempt coming up in september. i have only taken the sat once, though i plan to rectify that in the coming months. i also plan on taking three sat subject tests, choosing to focus on english, spanish, and biology. in senior year, i plan on taking ap gov and a multitude of college courses, so stay tuned to see if i survive.

within my school, i am president of the young democrats club, the most active organization in the school. it is the club i am most proud to be a part of due to the involvement of so many diverse individuals. i am also a part of beta club, math/science quiz bowl, and upward bound.

i plan on applying to five different colleges in the next few months. my reach schools are brown and yale, my realistic school is the university of vermont, and my two safety schools are both located within my home state.

i want to be a part of the appblr community to share my struggles and triumphs with like-minded people. through the college app process, i hope to share what i’m going through with those battling the same demons.

i plan on doing livestreams over on a website called nextbeat. my username is meggo, so if you wanna have a chat about the college app process, i will be going live every thursday at four pm est. (i’ve never done it before, so i hope it works well!)

i’m also looking for other appblrs to follow, so if you are interested in cat pictures and college-related material, then i am the girl for you! i will be following back anyone that is new to my tumblr, and i can’t wait to share my deepest darkest secrets and fears with all of you!
