My thoughts on Beto O’Rourke & Ted Cruz:
Beto is correct about NFL national anthem protests, Ted strangely opposes 1st Amendment here
Ted Cruz is right about the second amendment while Beto O’Rourke is vague & non-specific
Both suck on the healthcare front (Obamacare is awful for healthy folks) & neither offer a decent alternative
Beto is committing to staying within the Senate while Ted Cruz will run for President again
Beto is pro amnesty for Dreamners & asylum seekers while Ted’s position is (now) keep the families together (he previously was for separating children)
I think Beto is better due to his lack of support for authoritarian fascism-lite policies & he is more honest about where he stands, even on controversial issues (like healthcare & national anthem protests).
I will be surprised if Ted Cruz loses (it is Texas after all) but hopes Beto wins as Ted Cruz has lost credibility as a Christian due to his previous support of family separations at the border.
