Prompted by the egregious non-call for pass interference in the final minutes of the Rams/Saints 2018 NFC Championship game, NFL owners voted 31-1 yesterday to approve a rule that allows for both offensive and defensive pass interference to be subject to review.
This includes non-calls and it will allow coaches to challenge those calls in the first 28 minutes of each half. In the final two minutes of each half, those calls will be subject to a booth review.
For now, this rule change is only for the 2019 season.
Reportedly, Bengals owner Mike Brown was the only one who voted no.
