Today is A Crucial Catch Day. The American Cancer Society has partnered with the NFL to unite in the fight against breast cancer🎀
Rumors that the NFL was going to dial down the pink this year in the wake of its domestic-violence issues appear to be false.
We saw a LOT of pink yesterday -- embedded in the end-zone logos of the Eagles and Chargers, around the necks of every referee, and on the virtually every player.
And then there was this guy. We get it, sir. We're aware.

Cleats for Cleavage
It's October! It's the perfect month to start a football blog for women. Every football fan gets excited for fall to come around, but October holds a special place in this special season.
The National Football League combines three of my favorite things-- football, social action, and family. As a woman who lost a grandmother to Breast Cancer, the only thing better than seeing my favorite players sport the manliest shade of pink, is the reason they do it.
For the month of October, The National Football League partners with the American Cancer Society in their campaign, "A Crucial Catch", raising awareness about the importance of annual screenings.
What's not as well known is that all those pretty pink coins, game balls, cleats, and all apparel worn by players and coaches, aren't just for show.
All of that pink gets auctioned and all funds benefit the American Cancer Society's Community Health Advocates National Grants for Empowerment (CHANGE) program. That's what I call a 'victorious secret'.

I could watch JJ Watt on the prowl any day, but I'm happiest watching him tackle Breast Cancer.
So ladies, we love football, we love being women, and we love helping other women. Most importantly, we all know what happens when the quarterback has no open receivers. As women, we should help complete the pass and lead the National Football League to win the fight against Breast Cancer.
Here are a few ways to help:
1.Tell your mom to watch your team's next game and help raise awareness!
2.Text NFLPINK to 41518 to donate $10 to the American Cancer Society. Messages and data rates may apply.
3. Purchase Breast Cancer awareness gear.
4. Bid on some of that pink you've been eyeing.
5. Hashtag #NFLPINK on Twitter to help raise awareness.
