R.I.P. to Sean Taylor! He was coined the name Meast for good reason because Sean Taylor at times did not look human. He came from the legendary school of Miami University and lived up to the great players that have come from there (Ed Reed, Ray Lewis). I could have easily put him higher on this list, and I truly do believe if he got to play more games in his career he might have made into the top 3, but that does not discount how hard of a hitter he was. Sean Taylor would never be shy about sprinting downhill and putting all of his force into the tackle. It was clear he was out their to punish people, and punishing is what he did. Like all of players coming out of the U, Sean Taylor always played with swagger and one of the traits I loved most about him is that he did not take shit from anyone. Sean Taylor will go down as one of the best Redskins to ever play even with only 3 seasons under his belt.

Steve Atwater was a linebacker playing safety and was coined the name the Smiling Assasin because of he punish people, and then smile about it right after. 6 ft 3 in, 220 pounds is no joke at the safety position, and he would never by shy about coming in the box and laying the wood. Many know him for his hit on Christian Okoye, the massive 260 pound running back that ran a 4.4 called the”Nigerian Nightmare”. At that time, people were regarding him as one of the best power running backs, but with a single hit, Atawater shattered his reputation. Okoyewas running through the middle, and both met at full speed, but only one was sent back flying. Not only was he one of the hardest hitters, but also one of the most sure hitters. He has racked up over 1000 tackles in his career, and was vital for the Broncos 2 Superbowls while he was playing.
