You know, I read a lot of gossip accounts and it's a bit mind boggling to see what is written and in fact what kind of person he is. Yeah, it's his personal life, that's his business. i’m fairly new to the hockey universe but i think a lot of people put an insane amount of pressure on these young guys. i mean the dude is only 25. some of the comments and things i’ve seen about him after a bad game or a loss is outrageous. he can only do so much. he can’t control the other team or hell even his own teammates (i.e the five on five fight against the rangers).

Nico is a positive person, and it is noticeable, even when he is in a bad mood, he doesn't take it out on people who have nothing to do with it. My friends had the experience of meeting him when he was in such a state, he literally had everything written on his face, but he was very kind to the guys, not refusing autographs, but refusing to be photographed

he def seems like he’s the type to hide what he’s really feeling the best he can cause he knows that he’s the captain, he’s the face of the team. the fans and the players expect him to be able to carry on through the suck. but when he gets home or is alone he just lets it all out.
