i haven’t really talked about it on this blog, at least lately, but i’ve talked about it on my other blog. so i guess this is a psa/me ranting

but i’m currently deployed. i’ve been deployed since may of last year. i know im probably gonna get some funny messages about ‘why are you writing fanfic while overseas’ well, everyone needs an outlet to help them deal with shit. otherwise you fucking spiral. and this hellscape has always been my outlet to escape the real world (even when i’m 6000+ miles away from home).

i wasn’t writing a whole lot when i got over here cause life was stressful but once i fell into a routine i found myself bored and my mind coming up with all sorts of shit and henceforth, writing happened. but now things are picking up again and i’m trying not to lose my mind (and my bootlaces iykyk) so please just be patient with me.

i appreciate everyone eating my fics and sending me requests and all the love 🫶 it’s made coming back into fandom spaces so much easier

i got at least 15 different WIPs and about 5 functioning brain cells. I don’t work on a set schedule. I’m not one who can just sit down and hammer out a fic. It takes me hours if not days to draft, write, revise, reread and then post. Im a perfectionist to a fault and if I feel like my writing is shit, I won’t post it. And right now i feel like my writing is shit and can’t sit still long enough to write a full length fic.

so please, forgive me if it’s been a month or so since you sent in a request. I have a list of all the requests and I’m working through them. I will tell you, as someone who’s been a fanfic writer for a hot minute, one quick way to turn writers off of your request is when you constantly ask about it and make us feel rushed.

Michael Robinavitch x Daughter!reader who's competing in the summer or winter Olympics doesn't matter which although I'm currently obsessed with figure skating at the moment and they win gold. Maybe her father surprises her by being there? or it's an emotional homecoming because he tells her he's proud of her and the woman's she's become. Bonus points if there's some lore/back story about her mother.

2. Jack Abbott x Daughter!reader where she goes to pittfest with Jake and gets shot multiple times. It looks as if she won't make it, but by the grace of God, she does make it.

You know, I read a lot of gossip accounts and it's a bit mind boggling to see what is written and in fact what kind of person he is. Yeah, it's his personal life, that's his business. We don't need to go there at all. For us, Nico should be what he is to the team and to others. For on his own, even from photos and videos, he is clearly with a good message about the whole world

i want to say it was an interview he did at worlds when he was asked if he could have one wish or something like that what it would be and he said something along the lines of that everyone would be at peace with everyone.

i’m fairly new to the hockey universe but i think a lot of people put an insane amount of pressure on these young guys. i mean the dude is only 25. some of the comments and things i’ve seen about him after a bad game or a loss is outrageous. he can only do so much. he can’t control the other team or hell even his own teammates (i.e the five on five fight against the rangers).

he cares a lot about his team, the fans and the city he represents
