2. Have they ever left their community? Why? What would push them to leave or stay?

Yes, Yanyus did in fact leave his tribe, albeit not by choice initially.
He wanted to see the Harathi thrive, but instead he had witnessed infighting in the Centaur Alliance and then again within his tribe. When the tribe split, he decided to stay with his mother and friends in spite of them aligning less with his ideas, and he was horrified when the deal with the White Mantle she helped broker caused a lot of suffering to the tribe. He tried to opposed it, but he was forced to consume Bloodstone as well and became addicted like everyone else. He has few scattered memories of that time due to its influence, but he will never forget the desperation and pain after the Bloodstone ran out and the tribe started suffering from withdrawal, nor the flashes of how the mercenaries captured them and transported them to Draconis Mons for terrible experiments.
He has to thank one particularly kind human mercenary for keeping him alive when he was giving up, so much that it made him reconsider his stance on humans as a whole, but he has not seen him again (it was Rhys disguised as a human and he had to leave at one point). When the Pact arrived and found the centaur among the prisoners, he begged for his and his friends' safety in exchange of information, but he was the only one who could be saved out of the few that remained. The Priory took him and other prisoners into custody to study the effects of Bloodstone on sentient beings during their recovery. The change was a hard thing to get used to as his body and mind went through hell, but eventually Yanyus became friends with a few of the scholars, in particular a young asura, Nuvly, and, surprisingly, a human noble, Gaell (he had his share of reconsidering "enemy factions" and a bone to pick with White Mantle, so he volunteered to help their victims). Once he recovered, Yanyus took the offer to go visit the Maguuma tribe, and he ended up settling there, finding peace and a home with two partners.
He only left his new community temporarily, when he joined the efforts against the dragons during IBS. After hearing Nuvly was badly wounded and some of his Priory friends were killed in the Destroyers' attack at Thunderhead Peak, he could not stay still any longer. He felt it was his time to repay the kindness he had been given, and he wanted to protect his new tribe before the danger came to them as well. Hearing that the Frost Legion had passed by centaur territories, he even attempted to rally his old tribe into helping the Pact, but the confrontation with his mother did not go well. He wanted to try with the Tamini as well, but he was advised not to due to the likely Frost Legion presence in the area, so was the only centaur helping the Pact on the battlefield (a few from the Maguuma tribe joined following his example, but they worked in the supply lines as they had no combat experience).

4. What's their family like? Are they still around? Do they like them and get along?
The only family Nibia ever knew are the Sly Corsairs, and she loves being a Sly. Those in the crew she likes are treated nicely and given trinkets (many nicknamed her Magpie due to that), while those she doesn't like much are pestered and may find their trinkets missing.

Yanyus's feelings about his family became increasingly conflicting over time.
He was born well into the Centaur Alliance's formation, from a Tamini father and a Harathi mother, and for most of his youth he loved them as a son should (note: centaurs kinda lost some of the family bonds' importance in their society due to the Alliance, and their bond was exemplar of that). His mother was a strong believer in their leader, Ulgoth the Mighty, who had even praised her bravery in battle and promoted her to a respectable role within the Harathi tribe. She pushed Yanyus hard to prove his worth and earn the leader's respect as well, especially as he would be proof that the centaurs were stronger together. His father had been rendered mute by a battle injury to his vocal chords, but since he was a slaver there was no doubt he agreed with his mate. Little Yanyus was desensitized to his father's job early on, but he was more around his mother than him before going off to training.
Yanyus grew up eager to join the war, spending much of his youth training harder than most, yet it didn't take him much on the battlefield to see the utter cruelty of his people. He believed his people's war, but the way others acted when attacking defenseless villagers and kids broke something within him. Suddenly, his parents' teachings turned into something deeply unsettling (he had no way to elaborate it was all indoctrination, but he felt something was very wrong at the core), but he knew he could not voice his doubts on the matter with anyone, even as he started recognizing the same wavering thought in the eyes of a few of his fellows. He had seen what happened to those who dared speak up, and he didn't want to end up like that nor dishonor his family. Ulgoth's death and the failure of the Alliance didn't improve things, his mother probably so deeply broken by it all that it led to what happened with the Bloodstone and the White Mantle in Lake Doric.
He hasn't seen his parents in years (his father split and went with the Tamini, while the confrontation with his mother is best left forgotten) and he doesn't know if they're even alive at this point, but in truth? He doesn't want to think about them anymore, preferring the peace he has found with the Maguuma tribe and (ironically) other Tyrian races. He has had two foals with his mates, and that family is all he wants to focus on now.

8. Do they have any particular hobby? Is it common for their race?

Yanyus didn't really have a hobby when he was still with his tribe. He was a decent hunter, so he spent his free time doing that or aiding others.
Since joining the Maguuma tribe, he's been trying out more things: he's learning all sorts of manual labor like weaving and sewing, but he's really finding his peace tending to the Oasis.
