vendetta "Can I tell you a secret?"
Ok heartwarming and fluffy vendetta. I can do this. It's not going to turn painful. Really.
It had been ten years since Thomas all but lost his sight. Chris had been trying to restore his sight ever since, the guilt haunting his dreams when he couldn't hold his brother close, the knowledge that he couldn't save his youngest brother's life or Thomas' sight ate away at his soul ever since that horrid night.
It had been nine years since he first began to think about Thomas is such inappropriate ways. A way of handling the grief, he'd told himself. The screams of his brothers still haunted him at night, even when he held Thomas close. And when he didn't hear their screams he began to hear Thomas' moans. It was disgusting.
Eight years ago, he realised Thomas seemed to feel the same. Or at least had something of a childish crush on him. Perhaps because they'd spent so much time together as Chris tried to figure out how to return Thomas' sight.
Seven years since Nasch had accused him for an incestuous affair with his brother.
And finally Chris couldn't stand it anymore.
They were lying in bed together in the early morning light, Chris playing with Thomas' hair. His brother moved slightly and Chris hissed softly as Thomas' body pushed back against him.
"Thomas, can I tell you a secret?"
"Of course."
He rolled Thomas over and cupped his cheek. Thomas' all but blind eyes lifted to meet his gaze although Chris doubted he could see much of his face. "I love you, Thomas."
"I love you too."
"Can I kiss you?"
Thomas grinned. "It's about bloody time."
Chris smiled, leaning down, their lips meeting in a soft, cautious kiss. Finally. After so long he was finally able to kiss Thomas. And he could finally put to rest his fears about whether Thomas would return his feelings or not. He had his answers. Thomas really did love him too. Despite everything else trying that should stop them being together, Chris pulled Thomas close, loving the way Thomas' hands tangling into his hair as they kiss slowly deepened. Thomas loved him. That was all he needed in life.
