✛ Invincibility Fallacy

Art stopped in front of the nearest general store (only a few minutes from Hummingbird Hotel) to catch his breath. He wasn’t in any immediate danger of keeling over from his wound, but all the movement was making him a bit light-headed. Leaning his back against the wall outside the door, he tilted his head back and watched the clouds as he gave himself a moment.
He’d put on his suit jacket to conceal the bleeding as best he could--he didn’t want to alarm anyone unnecessarily, after all. The dark purple fabric didn’t look too different as it got soaked through, but it certainly didn’t do much to staunch the flow of blood. He needed to find the proper equipment to clean and re-wrap it before he really did cross the threshold into “grave danger.” That was why he’d dragged himself all the way out here despite the circumstances.
Not for the first time, the thought of using his minimum crossed his mind. Just because he wasn’t dying didn’t mean that this injury wasn’t severely frustrating, and if he triggered his regeneration ability, he would be totally healed. He’d long since gotten over how unpleasant it was to experience death by stabbing, so it might just be worth the trouble...
“Ah, I need to get going...”
He braced himself to stand up again, clenching his jaw to stop himself from wincing.
