Hey, I thought I'll give my two cents about today as well.
And I wholeheartedly agree the ones to blame are probably the fis, they are in charge. The athletes who got on the podium are the last ones to blame. They just took the chance that they got offered by all this chaos. I mean Japan is only a few points behind Canada and if for example Sara wouldn’t have been affected by the dsq and therefore had a better jump in the second round, they would’ve gotten the medal, BUT Canada focussed on themselves and were able to ignore the chaos and took their chance. In that sense the medal is more than deserved, of course they are usually very far away from the first three spots, but they delivered on the spot. Besides that especially Mac and Abi both did great the last few days, otherwise this wouldn’t have happened.
In addition Slovenia would’ve probably won anyways you could tell after the seeing the first round. And Russia were a very possible candidate as well, all of them did well the last few days. Why they suddenly performed that well at the Olympics and not that well before is another topic. The only thing we can tell is that in the comps and trainings in Beijing they all were good.
Anyways, I hope you can rest, your head gets clearer and you don’t let this influence your happiness about Slovenia's win too much!
