OOO I LIKE THESE QUESTIONS HOLD UP: 1, 14, 31, 77, 79, 86, 87, 88, 188, 189, 193, 195
Pretty sad, but I guess I’ll be okay.
14. Do you wear contacts/glasses?
31. What do you think you’re really bad at?
Socializing, math, doing hair
77. What is your least favorite word?
Elite - it’s funny because I was actually thinking about this today; I thought “If ‘shambles’ is my favorite word, then what’s my least favorite?” Fucking ‘elite.’ Something about it, every time I hear it, it’s coupled with something extremely douchy—like in movies or books, when they mention an “elite” team of some sort, usual it’s comprised of know-it-all douchebags that usually makes me so irrationally angry while I’m reading or watching whatever it is I’m watching, or it’s used to describe something rich and similarly snobbish, idk. The only time it sounds cool is with the Elite Four from Pokemon.
79. Your favorite ice cream?
86. What are the top five places you wish you could go before you die?
87. What are four things you can’t live without and why?
Family - as dysfunctional as we are, I love them very much
Friends - I can’t stand the idea of being lonely, though I may enjoy being alone
Food - I mean, they have a million flavors of Hi-Chew, Oreos, Kit-Kat and Pocky like why the fuck would I ever wanna live without food (besides the fact that I fucking need it to live but w/e)
My phone - helps me out of awkward situations, has a camera, lets me write down ideas and short stories when I don’t have a pen and paper nearby :)
88. Which mythological creature are you most like? Why?
A phoenix, maybe - I guess because I somehow manage to bounce back after a really rough time, even if just barely?
188. Put your music player on shuffle and write the first ten songs that play:
Party Up (Up in Here) - DMX
Platinum Smile (Rock Edit.) (Instrumental) - Riyu Kosaka
189. A book you want to read/have recently read
Recently read: “At the Bottom of Everything” by Ben Dolnick - I’m gonna shamelessly plug this book because I first read it while interning for Random House and I wrote the promotional Q&A for it and the author answered it and it’s such a good book omfg
Want to read: “The Puppet Masters” by Robert A. Heinlein - I don’t care too much for things from the 50s but it’s about mind-controlling parasites so
193. You’re in a tattoo parlor about to get inked. What are you getting done?
"My life is in shambles" on my lower back
195. If you could be any character, from any literary work, who would you choose to be?
Maybe Samantha Sweeting from “The Undomestic Goddess” because she got a really hot dude at the end or at least I imagined him as a really hot dude idk every other book character I know has the shittiest lives
