Yellow Flower Falling is a tabletop game that follows the wealthy but troubled Obispo family. The political clan ruling the town of Sta. Marta, Laguna, they were cursed centuries ago by their ancestor, the first Modesto Obispo. He made a deal with a mysterious entity known as Doña Jeronima, who makes her presence felt through omens with a sickly yellow color. Seeing her full form supposedly makes one go mad.

Here, you play as the members of each Obispo generation, acting out their struggles and the drama that follows. Overall, this ttrpg is inspired by works such as One Hundred Years of Solitude, The King in Yellow, Umineko When They Cry, Mutya ng Pasig, and the writings of Nick Joaquin.

You guys need to know there’s a horror short story made in the 60s where a Filipino national pride catholic religious offshoot calls themselves the Salamatistas (“salamat” means thank you, so this would translate to the thank you group) that gets shortened to Salem. With the rains come a change of mood and a difference in hotness. If you felt broiled in March, you feel boiled in August. The seething month has nothing of the stillness, the candor, of summer. Its heat waves are in constant stir, building up to a fit. Danger looms if the air is unclear, like a smoke. This thickens and darkens until overheated; it explodes — into a thunderstorm, a cloudburst, a typhoon. But the storm neither clears nor cools the air. It only feels muggier afterward, and from the ground steams a miasma: the singaw ng lupa, or earthy smell, that's mustiest after an August flash flood. The alternation between heat wave and hurricane accounts for the myth of August as a violent month, the myth now recalled by Jack Henson on this August morning of 1972, as moving aimlessly he found himself on Rizal Avenue.
