After reading Lewis Howes' book, Mask of Masculinity, I realised that the point of motorsport is a contest to prove who's the biggest man, which is getting in the way of all the gender equality projects. The most manly men get a corridor of applauding beauties to celebrate how manly they are, FFS. How can we make any progress getting women onto grids in competitive cars if everyone is still worried that everyone will mock them if they get beaten by a girl?
