Lawerence dying was heartbreaking to me. He knew he fucked up, he just realized wayyyyyy too late. I can see why they did what they did however I highly disagree with it. There was a better and easier way to do so. I think he saw Eleanor in June and that’s why he wanted to help her the way he did-despite her not doing anything about her dying. Lawerence is such a complex character IMO just like Serena, which is a time for another rant on another day. I absolutely adored him at the end, and though it was upsetting there is a sacrifice and when things don’t work out and you fuck up, own it and take it on the chin.
Hard take. Nick was shit from the start. I was never a fan of him. He was right about being someone who would be bagging groceries. He was a man with no conviction UNLESS it benefitted him, look at when June is brought up. I see both sides of the coin but his fear and ability to inaction made him unpleasant. I will say he need to protect June and ability to do so kept the show going however June is resourceful and would and could have did it without him. I plan to rant about Serena and June as well cause I don’t think June is the greatest either. However I can 100% justify everything she did.
