I know my worth aside from that, but it doesn't make my mental health better practically as long as I still use social media.

A list of things to remind myself that I don't have to do

I don't have to make an oc in every media I join

I don't have to make stories for my ocs

I don't have to make merch if I don't feel like it

I don't have to draw a cute simple style that doesn't fit my norm to please other people

I don't have to hop on an art trend/memes

I don't have to learn how to use Blender if I don't feel like it

My traditional drawing doesn't have to look nice

I don't have to draw the fanart of the media I like instantly when they're still fresh

Where do people draw the line between an idea that people can't or can simply take the idea and do the same thing then call it an "art trend"? Would the original photographer/artist like it if their work got turned into an art trend?

I guess it's transformative or derivative. Or you just want to express your admiration for the original source. But does that mean the original artist can't feel bad if their idea somehow becomes a mere trend?
