@nickycase isn't active on Tumblr anymore, but I wanted to make sure their AI Safety for Fleshy Humans guide made it here, given that they 1) know what they are talking about 2) express themself well 3) have a lot of great ideas, as a trans furry gamedev pervert. Their original thread ethics-testing ChatGPT back in 2022 was one of the first things that got me excited to learn more about the subject, and now the final part of the AI Safety project has at last been uploaded after years of effort. I'm very excited; their work is so well-reasoned and well-explained I know it'll be worth the read no matter the extent to which I agree. Recommend to everyone here!

pls watch/play the game ‘Adventures with Anxiety’ 😿 I watched Manly’s gameplay of it and it is such a good rep of what it’s like having an anxiety umbrella disorder (social anxiety,gen anxiety, intrusive thoughts/OCD). The ending kinda made me tear up 😭 whenever my social anxiety or intrusive thoughts act up it helps to visualize calming down my own wolf so thank you Nicky Case for that 😿

nicky case is actually one of my favorite game devs of all time i Love indie creators who casually change peoples minds forever as their job Ohhh my god. i advise everyone to play at least two nicky case games because they're so good. my favorite games from them are We Become What We Behold and Adventures with Anxiety because those are the games i started with, but there's also Coming Out Simulator (which is more personal and semi-autobiographical) that's just as emotionally devastating.
if you show their games to someone there's a chance they've already seen them before :P yeah nicky's pretty famous, but i don't think enough people look into their work!!! they make the most mind blowing shiz and manage to lay out complex/boring ideas in a way simple minds can understand (i find this impressive!) i aspire to be like them and Hopefully open someone's eyes one day
i actually knew about Nicky's work in 2020 when i found Adventures with Anxiety, but i didn't dive deeper into their stuff until January 2024. i have NO REGRETS!!! truthfully, i never played wbwwb in previous years, i knew of its existence though. ever since i played it for the first time BLIND 6 months ago i've been a changed man. i am crazy Obsessed with it and start shaking violently whenever someone mentions it No i even start frothing at the mouth whenever i see a circle and a square next to each other I'm normal you guys i'm normal!
