When the dust settled, Albus looked around, needing to confirm that his friends were alive. It was one battle, a battle that was not the war, but it wasn’t won or lost either. They went apart, both sides have suffered losses. Albus himself felt several aftereffects of spells and curses as he went across the battlefield, one hand pressed on his side.

He still couldn’t fight Grindelwald and yet he had clearly chosen a side, had fought with the others and yet distanced himself. Finally his eyes found a faded Hufflepuff scarf adorned with feathers and blood. He picked it up. “NEWT?” He screamed, the blood alarming him more than he should let on, but battle rattled everyone. “NEWT?”

It also intrigued her how other people celebrated it or where they spent time. What they ate. It was all so much fun to her but right now she was more curious about the snow. “I believe it depends on the family,” Albus replied. Personally, he didn’t really have family to share the holidays with. His brother hadn’t talked to him in years, and everyone else in his immediate family was dead. Still, he enjoyed spending the holidays attempting to cheer up the students with as much holiday cheer as possible. “And sometimes it’s the family that we choose that make the holidays that much more special.”
