❝Come out and play, my little spider.~❞
@nigermviduam
he knew what he saw. he knew what had happened because he’d ended up in that lake with the goddamn stone in his hand and no natasha. but there she was, looking decidedly real and not some guilt induced hallucination on his. he stared for a long minute before he finally found his voice. “how the fuck?” he wasn’t about to complain about how she was back but he was extremely curious as to how it’d happened.
nigermviduam said: "So, you're the owner of this place. Impressive." Natasha stated, looking around the busy club as she slipped into the seat next to Lucifer.
“A woman of taste I see.” the devil replied, lips curling into a smile as he turned to see the quite frankly stunning woman that was seated next to him. “Oh and beauty, more the better. You clearly know me, perhaps you’d return the favor?”
❝ What... Are you doing, Nat? ❞

— ❝Sometimes, we don’t have the luxury of not choosing.❞ Natasha replied, glancing over toward her fellow Avenger. Of course, Rogers wouldn’t want to choose an evil. But, Natasha had been forced to make such choices, so many damn times. Never once, did she have the choice of not choosing either. ❝The world isn’t black and white, Rogers. Sometimes, we have to get our hands dirty for the greater good.❞
For Steve, there was right and there was wrong. The feeling in his heart, in his gut, of what was right was the pull that made him go forward in life. It hadn’t failed him. Even if it had cost him, he was always certain of his decisions because they felt right. He knew that Natasha didn’t have the same background as him but that didn’t stop him. “I KNOW some things require to have dirty hands. But I’m not going to use such tactics to do it. It’s not my strength. I let others do that.”

— ❝You don’t have to remind me, I know he’s waiting. Or should I say, you’re waiting.❞ She began, though of course the Devil was right before her. Did she believe he was the Devil, more than most did. After all, she lived in a world of remarkable and unexplained things. But, if he was truly what he claimed to be. Then, when she was finally swallowed by the pits of Hell. Then, at least the Devil would familiar face. ❝You’ll have me soon enough, old friend. But, not today.❞
“Oh don’t be so doomy and gloomy, Natasha! I was just inviting you for a drink!”
Knowing her Russian origins, he’d brought with him a bottle of vodka, along with his favorite brand of whiskey. Maybe she wasn’t allowed to drink while inside the headquarters, but he really thought that she needed to lighten up a little. All of them did, but he wasn’t there for them.
He raised the bottle of vodka and shook it a little before walking over to the nearest flat surface and putting both bottles down.
@nigermviduam found the Rider
“Who’s there?”
@nigermviduam liked this and gets Pete
Pete wasn’t sure how to feel about all of this. Mr. Stark suggested some training -- his skills were nice right now but he needed more. Needed more fighting experience. Peter agreed -- it was a smart idea, after all -- but he wasn’t sure who would train him. Of all the people, he knew it wouldn’t be Mr. Stark. Peter’s senses and reflexes would easily pass his hand-to-hand and there was probably not much blast dodging one could do without getting hurt. So the question was stuck in the back of his head. Who?
Adjusting himself in the seat in the training room, he kept glancing between his phone and the door. He had come early and he was starting to regret it. There was only so much one could do on one’s phone to pass the time.
Lucky for him, the woman had entered the room not much long after. Pete almost dropped his phone at the sight. Everything about her screamed power.
“ -- u-uh, I’m Peter. Y-You’re Black Widow... it’s so nice to meet you! ”
