The Circus arrives without warning...
🎪 Welcome to The Night Circus! I was commissioned by The Folio Society to create an illustrated edition of the book, The Night Circus, by Erin Morgenstern. I was so ecstatic to take on this job because The Night Circus was one of my favorite books! Thank you so much to everyone at Folio, Raquel, Sophia, etc for making this dream job happen!

"You're not destined or chosen, I wish I could tell you that you were if that would make it easier, but it's not true. You're in the right place at the right time, and you care enough to do what needs to be done. Sometimes that's enough."
-The Night Circus, Erin Morgenstern
A truly stunning gown for Mlle Illusioniste, which glitters as if it's made of the very stars above...
🤡 "Tent in Woods" created by Mark Sullivan
Erin Morgenstern's next book is going to be called The House of Something or the Other and the subtitle is going to be "I played 900 hours of Blue Prince and now it's your problem". I can't wait.
Since I’ve just shared my latest collaboration with @erinmorgenstern (a tea companion to The Starless Sea), I wanted to revisit this work I created for the @nbssboston exhibit last spring. I wanted to create an enclosure for The Night Circus and it’s companion tea I created. The enclosure was meant to evoke the feel and highlight the thematic colors of red, black & white (including the papers I marbled), and subtle stars and clock motifs. I wanted this to act as an offering for someone to invite them to step into an immersive world of the story with its companion tea.
I have learned so much since making this, and so much would be done differently if I made this today. But I do love this as a capsule moment of where I was at at the time in my bookbinding journey. And it delights me greatly to know this is now with Erin.
