"Well, NOW where am I?"

The seven-foot-tall Toon wandered through the forest, truly very lost. As usual, he ended up in another world by going through a portal. This time, it was on purpose; he had to get away from an angry man who was trying to use paint thinner to kill him.

He couldn't remember what, if anything, he did to make the man so angry.

But now that he had gotten away, he had to wait for a portal to open up back to Terra Fantasia...however long that took.

"Hiiiii, dragon--thingy? Please don't eat me. Trust me, I don't taste good."

Oh, wow, okay. That's, uh. Definitely not what Kai had in mind. He opens his mouth a couple times in stunned silence, only to shut it with a wry twist as he just. Sits with that for a sec.

❝ Did you do that to be purposefully unsettling, or is that just a fun side benefit? ❞

He has absolutely no idea how much of his words the dragon actually understands. All of it, maybe? Just the tone? The witch hasn't got a clue. He's learning, all right, give him a break.

Kai's whole body relaxes when the dragon coos at him instead of, y'know, attacking. The tension in his shoulders dissipates and he lets out a small breath of relief. That would've been bad.

He's definitely cute. Curious at least, if not straight up friendly. But he also seems ... well. Familiar enough with him? Willing to approach at least, instead of running away. It makes Kai wonder where the dragon came from – where he lives, and who else lives there.

❝ You look ... ❞ Domesticated isn't the word he wants ( it makes his skin crawl just to think it ) . ❝ ... like you've got a person somewhere. ❞

The second sound from the dragon is more questioning. Kai takes a cautious step forward, slow and deliberate, no sudden movements. He keeps his hand outstretched and wiggles his fingers. He still isn't close enough to touch ; he doesn't think he should be the one to fully close that distance, preferring to leave that up to the dragon.

❝ I'm just passing through, collecting ingredients, ❞ he explains, lifting the little bundle of herbs and berries he's got in his other hand. He waves it around for good measure.

Because her friend was a vidiyadara and had a dragon as a companion, she was accustomed to seeing dragons. On occasion, he would rest his enormous head on her lap, and she would pet and scritch him. However, this dragon was of a different kind, and she wondered how it had actually gotten to Amphoreus. She was cautious not to approach it, though, as she was unsure of his reaction to her presence, so she chose to observe him instead.

Kronk, holding a tray, suddenly pauses mid-step as he sees a curious black dragon sniffing around.

“You smellin’ these spinach puffs? Yeah, they’re fresh. Secret recipe. Little nutmeg, little cheese… okay, maybe a lot of cheese.” Kronk lowers the tray cautiously. “I don’t know who—or what—you are, but if you're into savory pastry bites, I think we can be friends. Just… please don’t incinerate the kitchen.”

In all honestly, he's never seen a horse before. The only hooved animal he's seen where....

What on earth was that?

The mare snorted slightly when she caught sight of the large creature, ears pricking in the process. Luckily enough, he seemed just about as curious as she was.

Of course, it only took a few short moments for Daisy's curiosity to get the better of her, and she slowly began to approach the dragon, nose outstretched and ears twitching a little, wanting to figure out what he was.
