| The Secret Dance | Volume 1 Grimm x The Reader

 Everyone in the usually quaint town of Dirtmouth remembered the sudden arrival of the strange Grimm Troupe. The overwhelming scarlet light illuminated the gloomy skies as the obnoxious accordian filled the silence. There wasn’t a single person in the town who didn’t wish for the troupe to be on their merry way. Well, no one besides you. 

You first awoke to the odd and muffled sounds of the accordion, scarlet light shining through your window. Curious, you stepped out of bed and walked to the window. Outside, there apeared to be 2 strange new structures in the little town of Dirtmouth. They were both tents, spewing with red light and music. 

Your father, the elderbug, huddled over to the window, staring grumpily at it all. “What a wretched noise. Why can’t Dirtmouth just stay a quiet town?” The elderbug had lived in Dirtmouth his whole life. So had you, never experiencing the true taste of adventure. “I kind of like it!” You said joyfully. “I’m going to check it out.” 

You walked through the door and turned your gaze down the street towards the tents. Something about it was so intruiging. Suddenly, Grimm stepped out and you understood why.  You had never seen this man before. But at this moment, your heart was beating faster than it ever had before. The way he stood with such elegance and mystery was just so tantalizing. His thin legs made your skin crawl in such a tickling manner. Dark cloak, swaying in the wind, was so mysterious. You fell strongly in love.

You just had to talk to him, knowing it deep in your beating heart. However, before you could, you saw another figure, slithering out from one of the tents. Grimm looked over at her and the two passionately embraced, kissing each other thoughtfully. 

Somehow, your heart began to beat even faster as you soon became sick to your stomach.  Your first true love had just been seen with another bug. Quickly, you dashed towards the rusted well on the other side of time. Without thinking, you jumped in. You’d never been into the dangerous crossroads before, having always been scared of the infected monsters in its depths. However, now, you had nowhere else to hide.

 You jumped under one of the weathered platforms and curled up to cry, tucking your face into your knees. Overcome with sadness, you didn’t seem to realize the infected husk charging towards you. At the last moment, you saw it’s orange eyes, crying out in fear, expecting the worst.

However, a miracle occured. Out of nowhere, the room flashed a scarlet red as the husk in front of you burned to a crisp. In it’s place, Grimm stood in all of his elegant glory. He stood upright, his fingers up as though he had just snapped. They both still smoked with scarlet fire. Grimm then bent down, looming over you. He reached his sharp fingers out to you, his scarlet eyes flaming with passion. “Are you harmed?”
