          Cloud lifts his head when Sora speaks, his blue-green eyes widen at the young keyblade wielder's words. He wasn’t sure where it was coming from, trying to remember if he’d seen or heard something that would make Sora say such a thing. He doesn’t focus long on the inner question when nothing comes to mind right away, figuring if Sora wanted to talk more deeply about whatever it is, he would.

          Eyes flicking upwards & to the side, not to ignore Sora, but to reflect in a thoughtful manner about the other’s statement. He could take the easy way out, just to agree & go about his day, he wasn’t big on long extensive conversations but he does. He actually ponders the other’s statement for what seems like minutes ticking slowly by.

          “Sometimes they do.” 

          Cloud’s words come out honestly, that honesty reflecting in his blue-green eyes as he looks at the other boy. Shifting against the wall at his back to turn slightly towards Sora. “Sometimes they don’t mean to, because they’ve forgotten something important. Sometimes they’re being foolish about it. Other times it can be to hurt their friend or even protect them.” He’d like to think his closer friends don’t lie to him, he likes to think he can trust them, but everyone gets stupid from time to time.

“Ouch.” Leon mocks offense at Chris’ words, almost as if he’s offended that Chris doesn’t believe in him, “Did you doubt me?” With a tired grin, Leon’s eyes glance down at the gun he is holding and now that they have a moment of reprieve, Leon can check his ammo.

Good thing, too, because he needs to reload the clip. In swift movements, the one clip is released and onto the ground and Leon clicks the other into place, pushing his palm up against the clip to make sure it’s securely in the gun. “Nice working with you too, Redfield.” He adds, glancing over towards the door.

Beyond that door lays a hoard of zombies. They could go through it guns ablazing, which has worked out pretty well for Leon in the past (even if it’s a stupid move) or they could find a more strategic way of dealing with them. “Got any ideas?”

- I have a god au so just imagine a smol godling shadowing everything Zag does. Tbh, Nico is probably born after Persephone comes back to the Underworld, so it’s in theory a just generally happier family dynamic. We can hope

- Nico is going to teach Zag about modern food. He’ll smuggle pizza and McDonald’s down to the Underworld for his older brother to try if it kills him

- I’m not sure what all AUs you have for Zag, but I think like a superhero AU or a mortal/modern au would be very fun to explore with these two too!

It really was a terrible habit to get into.

Wulf knew she should probably make a conscious effort to stop, but it was simply too easy to overlook it when it was a rare occurrence to find someone even close to her height. Besides, it pissed The Hare off and anything that pissed off the ball of obnoxious that was her fellow Guide was a win in her books.

So she kept doing it.

So far, it hadn't been an issue with not only her other Guide family [save the aforementioned Frenchman, who frankly deserved it] or any other stalker she kept company with. Or at least they weren't vocal about it if it was. Maybe they were simply too used to it to say anything. Or enjoyed it ... if they liked that sort of thing...

One could imagine the mild startle flicker over her features when she settled a lower arm on the nearby American's shoulder and was about to put weight on it. She recoiled almost immediately at his response to it, putting her hands up defensively and with a creeping sheepish half-grin.

"I--Sorry. It is ... habit. Sometimes I forget who is standing next to me."

Quite the reminder to maybe try to stop, wasn't it...

After nearly running himself ragged and collapsing from exhaustion, Zagreus made a promise to Thanatos that he would be better about resting. True to his word, when Zagreus was starting to fall a bit behind with his runs and tripping up on early obstacles, the prince would have a rest.

That also came with a promise that Thanatos had to do the same, maybe not a full-on nap like Zagreus gets sometimes, but maybe allow Charon and Hermes to take the reins for a little longer at times.

Today the two were sharing Zagreus's bed, it started off with just he two laying there and having a chat but the prince unintentionally fell asleep -- He'd recently gotten a new bed and it was very comfy. Zagreus awoke from his long, hanging blink when he felt something on his chest; Thanatos's hand was resting against his sternum, feeling the strong, rhythmic thumping of his heart.

"mm... Sorry, Than..." Zagreus yawned as he rubbed his eye, "I promise I didn't just die."

leon’s unsure how to come to chris about this. he needs chris’ help, but is unsure that this is actually going to be something that he’s interested in. but at the same time, chris has asked leon for an outrageous amount of help when he hasn’t wanted to help, so really-- chris redfield owes him. big time.

plus, he needs another expert opinion on what the fuck is happening in newfoundland. he knows it’s another virus, he knows it’s another bullshit company trying to ruin people’s lives, but god damn it he doesn’t want that. leon just wants a break from everything.    when the fuck are they going to be able to retire? 

he finds the other’s home, knowing that it’s maybe a bit intrusive to just... go to his house to ask him to assist on this, but at the same time, chris would probably do the same. knocking on @nights-fear​‘s door, he clears his throat and leans up against it. “ don’t worry, i’m not the girl scouts trying to solicit you with their baby eyes into ordering a shit ton of cookies that your ass definitely doesn’t need, “ he calls out, leon’s just resting his arms, crossed as he waits for the other to answer the door.
