Nightswarm checking out The Last of Us.

Whats awesome about this game is it ties you to it on an emotional level from the first scene. You care what happens to Joel (even if he doesn't) and Ellie. Joel, being emotionally distant, and Tess will do anything to get their cargo (Ellie) to the drop points so they can move on to the next job in this rough, unfortunate world.

Playing the game, you can see how it sets itself apart from past Naughty Dog titles like Uncharted. It slows the pace down in the movement department but cranks up the intensity in the heat of battle. You can never tell if you will be able to successfully take on 3 enemies without alerting the others and if not, what can you do to make sure no one is hurt?

Bullets are scarce and enemies are in great numbers, what can one man and a child do to make it across a forever change America?

Hanging out at Motor City Comic Con with Stan the man! It was packed and not my favorite con but it was worth it to get Astonishing X-Men #51 signed, cased and graded, and to meet the hero of all super heroes!

Sony's new shooter?

   A job listing posted from Sony, Santa Monica studio is hiring a Senior Combat Designer for work on a new IP. With that it throws up the question, "Is Sony looking to start a new shooter series since the closing of Zipper Interactive about a month ago?" Zipper is best known for SOCOM: U.S. Navy Seals, MAG and the new PS Vita game Unit 13.

the posting read:

"experience working with, developing or designing for a 1st and/or 3rd person shooter genre [is] a plus," hinting that the new game is very likely a shooter. Also mentioned "experience working with, developing or designing vehicle combat in a game [is] also a plus" and points at competitive multiplayer feature. No official statement has been giving but we are keeping our ears open.

God of War: Ascension Announcement

      We all knew that a new God of War was on its way but most of us had no idea what we were gonna be getting. Before the announcement, everyone was saying "God of War 4" but that's not quite what we got.

   Ascension is a prequel to the series, letting you take control of Kratos before he toppled Olympus and became the "Ghost of Sparta". Aside from that, we have no idea what to expect. Will we play through the early years of our violent warrior? Could we see what happens with Zeus and Kratos before the events of the original series or will it jump right into his life before the bloodshed? Will he be pissed? No one knows, but we are all stoked because, i mean lets be honest, some of us bought the PS3 just for this series (CFMoss).

   No release date yet but pre-orders are able to be placed. while you wait, enjoy the announcement trailer.
