The FDA just approved a new app called NightWare that’s designed to help people who experience recurring nightmares. The prescription-only app runs on Apple Watch and vibrates when it perceives the user is having a nightmare, gently waking them up.
Research shows that recurring nightmares can greatly disrupt sleep patterns and even contribute to higher rates of suicide, especially in people living with forms of PTSD.
