A lot of people post headcanons on this site. I should do that too! Prepare yourself for potential cringe!

Posting headcanons about Nightmare from Kirby for now because I have quite a few of those. Actual canon doesn't give us much detail about a one-shot boss don'tcha know.

-Nightmare is actually one of a species of hostile dream entities that feed on fear.

-They don't have any real names. Kinda like a lot of Pokemon, "Nightmare" is what they go by and their species name. Thankfully, they're psychic so they know which one you're talking to.

-Mortals often assign them nicknames so they don't get confused. This is why anime!Nightmare is called "eNeMeE."

-Average height (or length, depending on their stature) is about 10 - 12ft (3 - 3.5m). But they can grow larger if they get stronger (i.e. a certain Godzilla-sized CEO).

-They originate from and live in the "Dreamscape," which as its name implies, is the world of thoughts and dreams. It's sometimes called the "noosphere."

-They are generated when the first sentient beings in the universe begin to have bad dreams. It's not unusual to find ones that are billions of years old.

-While their "soul" can't truly be destroyed, their physical bodies CAN be killed. It takes a long time for them to generate a new one.

-...Which is why many put undeath curses on certain mortals to become their new bodies, should their original ever be destroyed.

-Personally, I make Games!Nighty and eNeMeE two different characters from different universes. Games!Nighty is more of a big troll, while eNeMeE is pretty much a Bond villain.

nightmare for the ask game thingy?

As a bonus, I'll do both Games!Nightmare and anime!Nightmare at the same time.

He'd never admit to it, though. 4: notp: Everybody? 5: first headcanon that pops into my head They're all named "Nightmare," and it is also their species name. Other creatures have to come up with nicknames for them to tell them apart. 6: favorite line from this character Games!Nighty doesn't have any speaking lines, but I do like eNeMeE's cut dialogue about how he can't truly die and as long as there is fear, he can always come back. 7: one way in which I relate to this character: I too like sunglasses? Yeah, I got nothing. 8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character: For a superpowerful dream entity, eNeMeE sure died like a chump! Try ducking, dumbass! 9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave? Holy false dilemma Batman! The short answer is neither. Nighties in general are not good guys, so """cinnamon roll""" is out. But """pRoBlEmAtIc FaVe""" (yeesh, I hate Tumblr lingo sometimes) implies that I should be making excuses for them and justifying their bullshit. Which I refuse to do, because I am not that kind of person. Besides, watching them get their asses kicked is too funny.
